A little of what I do

Services

Game Development

I fell into the gaming industry purely by accident. I was hired to help with a website and ended up working and learning Unreal Engine.

Ethical Hacking

I've always had a curiosity about how things work and have taken things apart ever since I was a kid. I love using that knowledge to make things work in ways they weren't intended.

Internet of Things

Oh the satisfaction of telling my tv to turn on and the tv turns on, lights fade and my chosen movie starts. The future is now.

Web Development

Web Development is a skill I've learned along the way. I've not only taken a full stack Web Development class but have also interned at a small startup where I learned to code with 3D rendered images.

About Me

I was born and raised in northern California near the city of Sacramento. I grew up in a very religious home. Although my family wasn’t rich, I had a good childhood with a warm and loving family. It wasn’t until 1988 that my world was changed by the words and music of Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simon and Topper Headon. At the tender age of 11, my world view was rocked both literally and figuratively by The Clash. While this may not pertain to any job opportunities, I feel this moment in time shaped who I am as a person today and gives me an understanding in culture, style and music. It opened a whole new world to me that I felt compelled to understand and study. In the same way, technology opened up a world that I felt compelled to understand. I remember my father sitting at his Commodore 64 for hours typing in code. I had no idea what he was doing at the time but it sparked a curiosity that exists in me to this day. Wanting to understand and manipulate technology has been a nagging hobby, passion and obsession since I first played “Oregon Trail”. While I never took coding seriously until later in life, it is still as exciting to me as the first time I heard the lines “London calling, to the faraway towns”.

    My Humble Beginnings

One of my earliest memories is my father playing Atari 2600 with me. 'Pac-Man', 'Space Invaders'... We even had 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial' known for contributing to the video game crash of 1983.

    A Punker is Born

1988. The discover of skateboarding and punkrock. I'll never forget flipping through 'Thrasher Magazine' and reading about all these underground bands that would soon change my life. Once I read about 'Milo Aukerman', the singer of 'The Descendents', going to college to study molecular biology. At that point I knew I didn't have to live in a gutter to be punk.

    Get in the Van

In the early 2000's I got to tour the U.S. in a van and grace stages (basements) while singing for a punk band. Although this didn't pay the bills, it did give me a hunger to see something other than the sunny California weather. In 2010 I moved to Frankfurt, Germany where I started my life as a bartender.

    Hello World!

In 2018 I found out about 'Craft Academy Coding Bootcamp' through a colleague at work and decided to take the plunge and enroll. Through all the headaches and frustrations of learning, I feel it has been well worth it. The more I learn, the more I love it.

My Hobbies and Interests

Ethical Hacking

"As with everything, this is a learning process. I've taught myself OSINT to Password Cracking. Using numerous tools (Metasploit, Nmap, Hashcat, BadUSB, etc.) and operating systems (Windows, Linux and MacOS) I've become a bit of a hobbyist and would love to turn it into a career."

Raspberry Pi

I love tinkering and experimenting. Raspberry Pi is perfect for that. It's become a hobby of mine just to see what kind of things I can do with it.

Record Collecting

I've been a record collector for a long time. There's no better feeling than finding that rare gem vinyl burried in a second hand store. Check out my discogs profile as well as a spotify playlist I made. You can tell a lot about a person based on their music collection.

Internet of Things

"Alexa, Turn on the TV."

Alexa turns on the tv, sound-bar, Nvidia Shield, changes the channel to my favorite, and then dims and colors the Philips Hue lights. This is magic and I want to learn more!

Gaming

What can I say about gaming that I haven't already said? It's been a part of my world for as long as I can remember.
